Our core business purpose is to improve the quality of the business owner's lives in the industries we serve (this is the reason our company exists, why we come to work everyday, and what guides us in our daily business decisions). Definition of Ideal
Our company name reflects who we are, Ideal. The dictionary says that Ideal means a standard of perfection or excellence; or, an ultimate aim of an endeavor, especially one of high or noble character. This is the core of who we are!

History of Ideal
Ideal was originally created in 1985 by Jon Herman (a successful OPE dealer) and Dennis Haefner (an established computer programmer and consultant). The two discovered that there was no available software designed for the OPE dealer. So they decided to team up and design Ideal!

With over 1000 installs, Ideal is now recognized as the leading provider of business management software for Outdoor Power Equipment and Powersports dealers. Noted for having the best service and support in the industry, Ideal is highly praised by some of the industry's top dealers and consultants.

In 2010, Ideal reached a couple important milestones. The company celebrated 25 years of service and was the recipient of the Power Equipment Trade Dealer's Choice - Business Services Product award at the GIE+Expo.

In December of 2010, Ideal President Dennis Haefner retired and the company was acquired by Constellation Software Inc.'s Dealership Software division. Although the ownership has changed, the product, support, and customer service remain the same. Ideal takes customer feedback seriously and works to enhance its product based off dealer input. It's a proven system that will dramatically increase efficiency and boost profits in all areas of your business.
