Why did your dealership choose Ideal?

Jeff: We were using a bit of an outdated system. We had just keyboard only. I didn’t even know what the mouse was.

We were using old dot matrix printers. We got the point to where some of our parts for our printers weren’t even available anymore, so we knew it was time to make a change.

What are the different ways your dealership is using Ideal?

Jeff: We use Ideal both in our sales department for selling equipment, parts as well as in our shop.

There’s some daily reports at the end of every work day and I use some of them for reference. There’s a lot available, so I’m still learning myself what’s out there to use.

How was your experience using Parts Locator?

Jeff: Parts Locator? Kind of a funny story. I hadn’t properly introduced our staff to Parts Locator, so the first time we got a phone call off of it, my parts guy, he didn’t know how these other dealers knew what we had in stock.

We had been sitting on some old inventory – hadn’t sold it, hadn’t touched it in years and we got a call in, somebody that needed it, and we were the only dealer in the country that had it.

No way we would’ve even known who they were or they would’ve known who we were without the Parts Locator. Definitely a great feature that within Ideal.

How was your experience with Ideals customer support team?

Jeff: Response time is fairly quick. I submit the support request directly through Ideal. A few times I’ve had to call if I’ve been on the road or something.

We’ve been getting quick responses and if somebody didn’t know the answer, they would get us in touch with the person who did.

What would you say to other OPE dealers considering Ideal?
